rainee SG dunno if it is the same or not... oh btw fudgie maybe u can tell me...is there a need for the muslims to break from 12pm until 3pm just because of their friday prayers? no offense, i m just very curious, how come need so long
fudgester SG THAT long?!?! I left home at 12.45pm. I reached home at 2pm. Sounds to me that those fellas are just out for a little time off.
alexkusu SG eh, my house there got monitor lizard...like 1.5m long leh I saw one near the monsoon drain when I was 9yr old freakin scary.. like baby dragon.. i heard it swallow chickens and dogs whole then it started to chase after me wah, i think that time i can qualify for olympics cycling gold medal liaw
seow SG speaking of docs. My classmate only visited the doc for his toe, after nearly a year. Said someone dropped a knife on his toe, then changing for pe got see abit of blood. Then later his toe overgrown or something, cut until he damn pain. today he has to go see doc again..
fudgester SG Seriously speaking, I don't see any reason why they should get back so late... unless if they drag their tails in coming back, of course. Even after allowing for the fact that different places might have slightly different timings, Friday prayers do not end later than 2 at the most. If anything, JB ain't that far away from Singapore... I don't see why they can have radically different timings. The very fact that I got back from the mosque before 2pm, taking a 10-minute bus ride tells quite a lot. I'm pretty sure there are many more mosques in the JB area than in Singapore. And if they have their own transport... then I don't see why it should take a long time. All they have done is add on to the stereotype of the lazy Malay. And to use Friday prayers as an excuse for laziness... suffice to say, they have plenty of answering to do to God. And seriously, I find it hard to blame some people for having the stereotype that Malays are lazy.
